In response to the current COVID-19 outbreak, we have taken measures for the safety of our patients and staff.
- We are now offering telemedicine appointments and ask that you consider scheduling a telemedicine visit with one of our providers unless a visit to our office is absolutely necessary for your care.
- We ask that if you come to our office for an appointment that you bring an additional visitor with you only when an adult caregiver is necessary for support or a parent or legal guardian is required for a minor.

We would like you to reschedule your in-office appointment if:

  1. You develop symptoms of a respiratory infection (e.g., cough, sore throat, fever)
  2. You have returned from a country under a level 3 Health Notice within the last 14 days.
  3. You have been exposed to someone suspected to have or confirmed to have an infection with COVID-19 virus.
If you have an urgent medical issue and you are in one of the above categories, please contact our office to discuss your issue prior to coming to the office.
We are dedicated to our patients and will continue to make any necessary changes to our policies and procedures to continue offering the highest level of care.

Growing up Dr. Tawancy was active in both track and field and cross-country. Her interest in podiatry developed after sustaining several foot injuries and shadowing a local podiatrist in her home state.

Dr. Tawancy attended Purdue University where she earned her bachelor's degree in biochemistry and continued to compete in cross-country. While in college she helped coordinate and attended a medical service trip to the Dominican Republic and Haiti where she helped provide underserved populations with medical care and education on common ailments and hygiene. She went on to complete podiatry school at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, IL where she continued to compete in local races and was chosen to participate in a very competitive summer research program.

Dr. Tawancy went on to complete a 3-year surgical residency at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center and the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC where she was trained extensively in all areas of foot and ankle pathology including trauma, sports injuries, limb salvage, flatfoot repair, and bunion and hammer toe correction. Following residency Dr. Tawancy went on to complete an intensive one-year rearfoot and ankle reconstructive fellowship with the Foot and Ankle Specialists of Central Ohio making her one of only a handful of fellowship-trained podiatrists in the country. She gained further training during her fellowship year in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery most notably in flatfoot reconstruction, sports injuries, and diabetic limb salvage.

Dr. Tawancy is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons through which she is currently board qualified in forefoot and rearfoot surgery.
