Born a Buckeye and raised in New Albany, Dr. Joshua Mormol was inspired early in life by his adored grandfather, Dr. John Mormol—a dedicated pediatrician who served the East Columbus community for over five decades. Witnessing the meaningful relationships his grandfather built with patients, Dr. Mormol was drawn to a career that blends medicine, service, and long-term community care.
Dr. Mormol earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Cincinnati. He completed his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, followed by a comprehensive three-year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health Network in Cincinnati, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year.
Dr. Mormol provides comprehensive care for a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, with advanced training and special expertise in complex forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery, high-risk diabetic limb salvage, Charcot arthropathy reconstruction, foot and ankle trauma, sports-related injuries, and wound care. He is passionate about delivering high-level, individualized care that prioritizes both function and long-term quality of life. Patient education and shared decision-making are central to his approach.

He regularly attends conferences, workshops, and lectures to stay at the forefront of the latest advancements in podiatric medicine and surgery. By incorporating the most current techniques and technologies into his practice, Dr. Mormol ensures that his patients benefit from the highest level of care and innovation.
He is Board Qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), and the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association (OHFAMA).
Dr. Mormol lives with his wife, Jessie, and their dog, Leo. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys golfing, scuba diving, traveling, and cheering on Ohio State football.
